Dry: cocktails and pizza in Milan

Tuesday 24 September 2013

Following the success of their restaurant Pisacco, chef Andrea Berton, architect Tiziano Vudafieri, lawyer and sommelier Diego Rigatti, and entrepreneur Giovanni Fiorin have launched Dry, a new cocktail bar and gourmet pizzeria in Milan.

Located at via Solferino 33, a few metres from Pisacco, Dry Cocktails & Pizza gives two classic food fronts its own twist: a bar counter for refined cocktails and a brick oven for simple but delicious pizzas.

Two former Italian expatriates made their comeback to add a flavour to Dry: mixologist Guglielmo Miriello, former bartender in Shanghai at the Maison Pourcel’s Sugar Bar, and Simone Lombardi, who's fresh from exporting the Neapolitan culture of pizza to Mexico City.

The original raw walls of Dry show the previous layers of the space and perfectly fit the mirrored shelves, the hanging cooking tools, brass surfaces and American diner-inspired sofas. Interiors are provided by Discipline and include Drifted stools and chairs and Pianissimo cork lamps (all designed by Lars Beller Fjetland) and the new Tea For Two coffee tables and Roulè trays, designed by Pauline Deltour - renewing the solid partnership between the Italian design brand and the team behind Dry and Pisacco.
